Frequently Asked Questions
Getting to know The Retirement 101® Program: We’ve prepared these questions and answers to assist in your understanding of the program.
How is the course structured?
The course is two hours a week for four weeks. Each week the instructor will focus on one of four pillars of successful retirement planning: retirement, financial, investment and estate planning. Each week you’ll be asked to do some additional work at home with your spouse or common law partner, applying the material reviewed during the weekly session to your personal situation.
What will I learn about my retirement?
Participants will use data from three homework assignments to create a Customized Retirement Income Model. The model will show whether an individual or couple can retire when they wish, whether they will be able to maintain their current lifestyle and fulfill their retirement dreams. The model will illustrate when they will run out of money and whether they need to work longer in order to retire within their respective means.
Who is the program most suited to?
The Retirement 101® Program is most suited to investors between the ages of 45 and 60.
What are the instructor’s credentials?

What does the instructor do with the personal information that I bring to the course?
The assignments are for your personal education and knowledge only. You may share as little or as much as you would like with the instructor. The more information you work with the more meaningful your results will be; however, you are not asked to share any personal financial information with other course participants.
Will I be encouraged to purchase or invest in a particular company’s products or investments?
Absolutely not! This is another area in which the R101 course is distinct. Unlike many bank or insurance company sponsored seminars or courses, our program is not affiliated with any investment product suppliers.
