Psychology of Executive Retirement from Fear to Passion
As a human resources professional, Doug could see the anxiety and fear many individuals had about leaving the career they took a lifetime preparing for and working in which inspired him to write Psychology of Executive Retirement from Fear to Passion.
Almost all books on retirement deal with financial planning and ignore the biggest problem, loss of self-identity and self-esteem. This book is unique as it has been designed to guide retirees to prepare psychologically for retirement, not just financially. Psychology of Executive Retirement from Fear to Passion tells us how to:
Challenge yourself and re-think traditional retirement and its myths
Avoid traditional retirement of passivity
Find yourself and reach your full potential outside of your workplace
Prevent the “retirement shock” and its health risks of shortening your life

As baby boomers we think all we have to do is sit and relax, have a vacation or two and we will be fine.
